I'm moving to Texas later this year and I'm looking over my choices. Not having RSNs has been a hassle, having to use a VPN to bypass blackouts on MLB.tv. So I'm trying to figure out how much recording time I have on my Hopper with Sling, I never use it all maybe dip down to 40% free when I go on a long vacation. I was able to see that it has 2,000 hours of SD but not sure of the HD recording capabilities.

I think recorded OTA locals will be ~twice as big as satellite-delivered locals. So... It really depends upon what you record.
More like the past. ViP DVR's would show that info every time you transfer an event to or from an external hard drive.
