Step 1. While starring in an immensely popular and award winning remake of a science fiction tv series decide to take a starring role in a low budget film produced by David Winkler who's only claim to fame is his producing the movie "Finding Graceland" as an attempt to follow in his father Irwin Winkler's footsteps who produced double trouble starring Elvis Presley.

Step 2. Wait two years to release the low budget film and a few months after the final episode of the remake of the highly acclaimed science fiction tv show remake and release it and clear the showing of the low budget film on Lifetime Movie Network and that's how you kill promising career.

Katee Sackhoff Actor in question,

I do not see how that would kill her career, or if she had an upside after the show anyway.

Pick some of the hit tv shows over the last decade or three and in many cases the female actors have ended up on life time and life time movie network shows and rarely ever get any other work. The redhead from that 70's show, brunette from northern exposure, Melissa Gilbert, Jim Carey's ex wife, plus there are some guys that have ended up in life time movies never to be heard of again. Basically life time movies is where actors go to fade away.

The redhead from That 70's Show lost my attention when she switched to blond.
She looked much better as a redhead.

That movie is two years old. Did not seem to hurt her any.

Things change when a movie goes to Life Time, things change.....*shudders at the horror of it all*
