I found this very interesting. Whenever we drive down to the Orlando area, I am always hit with basically a parking lot when I get to Ocala on I-75. For those of you who live outside of FL...Ocala area is the boundary of The Villages. All it takes is ONE driver, who shouldn't be driving most likely, to slam on their brakes for some perceived threat and it causes a chain reaction which ends up being a massive traffic jam. I have run into this multiple times.

Jamie and Adam have to investigate a bit further ....
While, yes, in most cases the round about moves vehicles real quickly, they didn't test what happens when people are coming to the intersection at the same time ...
for example, I go thru right away on a typical R/A ... however, when you put 4or more vehicles well say, in one direction You the driver has to wait for ALL the vehicles to go thru before you proceed ... so in this instance, you the individual may end up waiting for some time depending on how many are coming thru ... thus making the Stop sign more efficient for Your lane of traffic going thru.

So, they need to dig a bit deeper.

I think they hit it with the test that couldn't come up to speed. When traffic gets loaded up, once it slows it can't get back to speed until it thins out.

Usually its a Tesla in the left lane doing the speed limit
My dad used to say, "And a Volkswagen shall lead them". Today, it seems likely that a long train of cars is stacked up behind a Subaru (an indictment of the operator, not the relative performance of the vehicle, which is more than acceptable).

The new complaint is "there's a subarube ahead".
