Hi ,
We are looking for a solution on this following matter .
Actually we have data service through dish ( only retrieval ) .
We hv Televees 1.6 m dish with 270m long cable (RG11 - Beldon 8213 ) with
1 line amplifier (SMW ILA 17-21 db , Freq 950 – 2150 Mhz) . There is no way of reduce the cable length bcos of internal pblms:) and amplifier kept after 100 m . Bcos of the trunking there is no other place to connect the amplifier . As normal every 75m require a amplifier but in our case that not possible . And offcourse the signal stregth & level very poor .
How can we improve this signal strength .

we need your valuable suggesions .
tks

You have an unworkable configuration. I presume the problem is trees.

Not enough detail about your circumstances to help. WhereTH are you? Alaska?

It's hard to believe you can't put more amps in there. Solar-powered?

What kind of terminal equipment is this? Normally I would say do all data collection remotely and for back-haul use a packetized network, rather than high-freq.

If you can't amplify it, you need a bigger dish. 2.4M is about the biggest you can buy before costs really escalate. It wouldl more than double the signal strength.
