HR20-700s Question

Can you use the OTA HD portion of the HR20 with out it being activiated and connected to a dish. I am awaiting install of a 5 LNB dish and was curious if I could get HD this way until the new dish is installed. Any suggestions would be great.

It needs to be activated. But you don't need the 5LNB dish to activate it. I ran it off my old PhaseIII dish for a month before they could get around to installing the 5LNB. Once you get it though you need to rerun setup to tell it you have a different dish.
