I recently had DTV installed and I'm getting choppy audio when tuned to content with dolby digital 5.1. I have a Denon 1802 receiver and I'm using toslink/optical cable connected from the HR22 to the Denon. I've also tried using digital coax and get the same choppy audio. Prior to this recent install, I had cable with an HD-DVR(Sci-Atl 8300), and never had a problem with the audio.
After doing a search here on the forums, I came across a post that suggested there might be a compatibility problem with Denon receivers and the HRXX sat receivers. As suggested, I reset the microprocessor for the Denon. Same audio problem existed. Next I reset the HR22, and same result...choppy 5.1 audio.
And yes, I made sure the dolby digital was turned on under System Setup > Audio. Does anybody have any ideas to get Dolby 5.1 working? I'd hate to have to buy a new receiver to replace an otherwise perfect Denon.
edit: It doesn't effect all channels. I haven't been through every HD channel, but so far I've found choppy audio on channel 101. MaxHD and StzwHD seem to be working fine.
