MAJOR Problems with this release

If one has not downloaded this, it is recommended that you do not do so until a fix has been issued. This CE will render your box totally unresponsive if you have opted in for MRV. A few lucky ones report no problem, but the overwhelming majority of downloaders, myself included, have had their DVRs totally lock up once you press the List button and try to do anything else following. A reboot is necessary to unfreeze the box, then you must immediately opt OUT of MRV to be able to use your box. In effect, having MRV enabled precludes you from using your DVR.

I am having the exact same problem (HR20-700, HR20-100, H23). I know we are testing these but this should have been caught in QA first and should not have resulted in a CE release.

In fairness, there are a few folks here and there who have not experienced this problem. Why this is the case is not known, but for most folks, there seem to be major issues. BTW, don't expect a fix in tonight's CE, either.

Suggestion: re-download tonight, then don't touch your boxes for at least 12 hours. See if that "corrects" anything.

I have not had any issues with either of my HR21-100's in which I downloaded the new firmware last night. One had a build that was 2 weeks old. The other had last weeks build but I didn't know you have to opt in until reading it last night. Regardless, all seems fine.

This terminology "Free Beta" leaves me a little disheartened. I hope they don't intend on making MRV an add on subscriber fee. That would suck. Don't think I would pay for it unless it was cheap and worked a lot better than it does now. It's super laggy when FF IMHO. I realize it's a beta though. Not really complaining yet. :)
