Tom Watts, an analyst at SG Cowen, said further upside "is possible" especially since the company will roll out new digital video recorders later in the year. During its last quarterly call in July, DirecTV executives said demand for DVR products was not picking up as quickly as initially anticipated. But, they said, the company would market the product more aggressively in the second half of the year.
