Hughes HIRD-H8 lock code

Hello and this is my 1st post.

A few months ago, I purchased a Hughes HIRD-H8 from Ebay. My purpose was to use this for over the air HD for my projector in my basement. I received the item and checked it out. It turned on etc etc. Now, my projector room is finished and I realized that the receiver is locked out with that parental code. The original seller does not know the code and I do not have direct TV to have them reset it. Is there any way to reset the system and have the code erased? Or is there a master code? I tried obvious numbers like 0000.
I took the cover off to see if there was a reset but could not find one.

With my Hughes HTL-HD receiver you hit two of the front panel buttons (Info & right arrow) at the same time to get to a different menu. One entry in the menu is to reset the NVRAM. The H8 may have the same function.
