Most of what we watch is pre recorded, some OTA some satellite. Without reason x4 and x15 do not always react the same. Some OTA shows need x15 to quickly get thru commercials, but some are OK with x4. Same thing with sat programs. Some of them drag with x15.

Anyone know why the inconsistency in ffwd?

I never got the hang of ff when it concerns commercials. I usually use the skip forward/skip back to get through them.

Yep...and as FF is concerned...I just set the speed, whatever it is, that lets me keep track of where I am without jumping ahead too far.
