With Dish Network about to launch and already talking about their new ViP922 DVR, and the fact that the FTA forums are already full of posts about the Motorola 922, I predict that people will have difficulties finding information specific to one or the other.

How about we all pledge to use the name "ViP922" in reference to the Dish box to reduce the confusion?

Back to the point. Good idea Pepper. When I heard about the ViP922?, I was wondering what all the fuss was about, since i had already saw the 922 discussed here.

My point exactly, if you do use the search feature and search for 922, you're going to find a lot of stuff you don't want.

The 922 is already a great 4DTV receiver, why Echostar chose the same model number is baffling.
