just tell em they have to pay shipping and ask for there CC and go on amazon and get whatever you wantIf people are just shipping other people free stuff, I'll take fourteen Hopper 3's. If that is too much, I'll take just twelve. TIA.
At a certain point somewhere I'm guessing in the '00s they stopped shipping with card because they had integrated all of the security into the internal systems. This was of course during the time when they were doing card swapouts to try to keep ahead of piracy. No doubt they figured if there was no card to hack it'd be a lot less attractive to try to crack. There was however still an empty card slot- this didn't mean that the rx needed a card, but I'm guessing it could still take a card if there would be some kind of breach and they needed to do a security update. I'm not aware that they ever needed to do that, but I left in the early '10s. So it was quite normal to be using rx's with no cardid'e never ship old hardware i destroy it and toss it out. i don't need anyone shucking the HDD out and hooking up to a pc and getting whatever info they can on me. and maybe that's why there's no smart card either dish wanted it back or the owner destroyed it since it holds info on the old sub
