Interesting Report from JohnH!

It's kind of like politics. The Dems seem to hate EVERYTHING Bush does (whether they agree with the policy or not), while red staters hate everything that comes out of Hilary's mouth (ditto with the topic not being important).

We've got the same thing here. D* pom pom wavers hate everything Charlie does. The best you will get is jealous silence when a Voom or Sirius announcement is made. Either that or you get the "yeah BUT your receivers still blow!!!!" OK, whatever. Enjoy HD lite, fellas, I gotta go catch a movie on Voom.....

Lately Charlie has made the majority of favorable channel adds, with the NFL Channel and Universal HD being notable exceptions for D* campers. This could go a long way to reducing the itch to bail for a few subscribers.

And just to show people I'm not a total E* pom pom waver.... The chats have sucked huge all year, my 921 is still reminding me of my Dishplayer at its worst, I REALLY want Universal HD, and Eldon looks like they still are hiring monkeys to pound keyboards to program their software based on 30 months inability to stabilize the code. I won't buy another HD PVR until Mpeg4, so I'm stuck until then...... Other than that, things have been OK.....

I am going to guess that the HD Pack is going to go up when additional HD channels get brought online. If you subscribe to a higher priced HD pack you will probably get a free or reduced upgrade to the Dish1000/SuperDish 1000 (if they end up making that one for those with their locals) to get those channels, just like they did with the Dish500.

I have offically decide that im going to move to a hd pack only with dish and stick with comcast for my main video delivery untill all this hd Bruhahah can be settled with mpg 4 or untill i see progress as in its avabile to coustomers and not in engenerring mode.. doing it this way i can have the best of both worlds plus i add starz hd, in hd 1 & 2 and universal.. I guess you cant beat that..

I came to this site last year because I owned an HDTV and wanted to make an informed decision so I could receive more than my 2 local HD channels.
I sat back quietly during the election last year while "Bushies" made their uninformed claims.

GIVE ME A BREAK! That's a very poor analogy. The Democrats (or the somehow dreaded "Libs") hate everything Bush does is because they hate to see the United States of America pulled into bankruptcy. The RED INK Republicans (Yes, Bush has NEVER vetoed a spending bill) could care less how far into debt they pull America as long as their big money friends get their tax breaks and their even bigger friends profit from a bogus war in Iraq.

Sorry for being political, but I didn't start it.
"Liberals" should be banned from the face of this earth!! Oh, wait a minute! You can thank Liberals for Social Security. If you're so turned off by everything that spawned from a Liberal then I suggest you all (or ya'll to my Republican friends) never accept a red cent from Social Security. Better yet, repeal the massive tax cut to to the the high dollar RED INK Republicans and we could save Social Security.

I am so amazed how people flock to Bush an his "values".
This is the most lazy president in the history of the USA. He has managed to take more vacation days during his 5 years than "Mr Family Values" himself, Ronald Regan took in 8 years. Bush's values are nothing like that of middle America. We work for our money, pay our fair share and see America prosper. With Bush, the RED INKS get their tax breaks and the working class pay for their free ride and die in the oil fields of Iraq..

I'm glad Bush is president. Is everyone enjoying $2.50 a gallon gas? You get what you voted for. Too bad 49% has to suffer for the mistake of 50%.
Well at least those homersexuals can't further drive our great country into ruins.

Oh, Hillary. The Red Inks don't like her because she can win.

I ONLY BROUGHT POLITICS INTO ANY OF MY POSTS ONCE.
I sat back last November and only posted once when someone made a reference to Kerry changing his mind (flip/flop as the Red Inks like to call it) and I stated that Kerry changed his mind as many times as Bush changed his reason for attacking Iraq.
Speaking of Flip/Flop, I'm sure all of the well informed Red Inks heard where the Bush admin. is negotiating with the terrorist groups in Iraq? The same Iraq groups that shot down helicopters (on video tape) and shot the surviver, or blew up a Humvee and hung the contractors from bridge in Iraq.
Said Bush, "We don't negotiate with terrorist" (unless the election is over)

:wtf:

Not only was that one of the most ridiculous replies that I have seen on this site but it was totally off topic. I think that BobMurdoch's analogy made perfect sense. The only way that it could have been said any clearer is that people like to complain and that some people are never happy.
Please keep your politics to yourself this is a Satellite site

and is your real name Michael Moore

Can we please move the political conversation to a new thread. It is not the topic of this current thread.

Thanks :)

Yikes, sorry. The analogy popped into my head and seemed to make sense at the time. I wasn't judging either side of the political aisle, although I think I hit a nerve...My grandfather always warned me to avoid sex, religion, and politics in my discussions whenever possible.... My bad....
