I was looking into gett the *Euronews channel" EKB says its on the 61.5 and the 118.7. But E* says its only on the 118.7 and I need an additional dish.
My question is
Is that True or are they just Trying to get me to sign up for another 24 month commitment or pay them $199?
I went from a 2 dish system back to a 1 dish. I'd like to keep it that way.

I don't think the Euronews channels (chan 900,901) are on 61.5 any more. There was a free preview for a while a couple of months ago,
but now they seem to be gone all together (from 61.5).

Yes it is true. But I can't beleive they're going to charge you much, if anything to get the dish. If you get a 1000+, you'll have every satellite you'll ever need. 110,118.7,119,129

What more could you ask for?

EuroNews is on 61.5, 148 AND 118.7

You should be able to add it for 1.99 a month and if you have 61.5 or 148 already you should be fine

I just scanned both 61.5 & 148 with the free to air box and it logs a "TV 900" on both 148 & 61.5....yes its scrambled but it matches the info I see on the dishchannelchart

I use a 1000.4, 61.5/72.5/77. So adding another wing dish ,is not the route I really want to go.
They will upgrade it for free with 24 month commitment, or 199 without a commitment. But I. not doing this when they can flip a switch and I can view it with my current setup.

I have a 722 and when I press the info button twice it will show you which satellite the channel is coming off (it's in the left corner of the display. I really like that feature.). I get 61.5, 110, 119, and 118. Euronews displays on 784, 900, & 901 in my EPG. It's says that it is on 118 on all three channels now, not 61.5 anymore.

So its really just the 118 then. Damn!
So do you have 3 satellite dishes?

Cause if the 1000.2 can pick up 4 orbital locations , 110/118.7/119,129. At least thats the way I heard it. Why can't the 110/119 dish 500 pick up the 118.7 as well?

As I posted above, I just scanned 61.5 on the FTA box and its still there. Heck they didnt scramble the audio so I can hear it :)

61.5 TP14 just like thelist says

Euronews will eventually be available only at the 118.7 slot. Dish is currently paying for the migration of current subscribers from 148 and 61.5 to 118.7.

Now, Dish is NOT going to turn-on Eurochannel for you, then just a few weeks or months later, pay for your free migration to 118.7. So, as far as Dish is concerned all NEW subs to internationals are to be at 118.7 whenever possible, that is the current status and has been the case for quite some time, and they have always handled migrations this way. It doesn't work for you very well, but I do think that it is fair. Officially, internationals are no longer available at the 148 or 61.5 slots, and, in fact, they really won't be there much longer. However, any current subs to internationals that will be taken down from 148 or 61.5 are provided with a completely FREE upgrade so that subs continue to receive the same services they do today.

In my case, I was already an international sub, so, although I wanted Eurochannel sooner, I had to wait for Dish to get around to sending me the letter notifying me of a FREE upgrade. So, they paid for the whole new Dish 1000 Plus. Then I just ordered Eurochannel incurring no equipment upgrade costs. Had I not waited, I would have had to pay for the 1000 Plus myself. It was worth the wait for Dish to do it for me for FREE.

For 118.7 you need a D1000+ or a D500+. The 118.7 is the +.
So I could just get the 500+ LNB? and then it will pick up the 110,118.7and 119 with one dish? I have a Dish 500 Pro plus right now. So why wouldn't this work?
I have a 1000.4 Hooked up now ,That I could put a wing Dish for the 118.7. But I'm just wondering why I couldn't get 110,118,119 before? I had a 61.5 wing dish too. Thats most likly why right?
