XM announced a service that will send XM streams over the internet to subs

The news sent XM's stock climbing 7 percent to $31.46 in morning activity, topping a previous high of $30.96 and reaching its highest price since mid-2000. XM's shares ended the session up $1.12, or 3.8 percent, at $30.58 on the Nasdaq.

The news also lifted SIRI by 2.8%.

One of the Interesting thing about XM announcing this online streaming service is that they will be bringing back two popular channels which were removed from XM over the past year, those channels are Special X and On The Rocks.

If you read other Satellite Forums you will see a lot of folks are very upset about this news, because now to hear the complete XM lineup its going to cost you $13.95 a month which is more then Sirius who also gives you Internet streaming for free.
