Is DishAnywhere contained within my internal Wifi network?

Hello all, the other day I was sitting on the front porch watching DishAnywhere on my tablet. And I was wondering is DishAnywhere using my internal Wifi network, is the network traffic just within my internal network? That is, there is no external Internet stuff going on. It's clear when watching from some other location like an airport that there is Internet activity. Thanks for any info.

I believe there is an initial call out to phone home over the Internet for verification. After that, all internal.
