AMC4 is now SES 1 & yes History is on there

I think there is more issue with the satellite AMC1 (no not the satellite...the OP)

SES1 doesnt have the coverage near The Rock as AMC4 did

so i may not get the history channel?will it show up as amc4 on my fta reciever .? i have done nothing to my reciever .just my dish is out of line.

thanks iceman . hope i can get that sattelite .will my fortech ultra classic read it as amc4 ? it aint of by much .or will i have to look for the signal hoply i will find it and rescan it .

I understand both History and Bio are still on the clear and now available on SES-1 but the new footprint has tightened over the continental US, I understand that previously AMC4 was even available in PR. and the caribbean.

I never noticed any change when they switched from AMC4 to SES1. If anything I gained a very slight increase in signal.

This is in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

The signal for me was never great but at least it didn't get worse

Lucky you, unfortunately for me there is no more History and Bio @ 101w

I picked up History and Bio a few days ago when I ran a test to see what satellites I could pick up. Satellite seemed fairly strong to me. I think I picked up some NBC feeds as well showing a fire in the mountains. My guess it was the Boulder, CO fire.
