Is it possible to receive 119/129 on a Dish 500 pro plus.

I receive 119 on port 2, but port 1 just says connected when I do a test switch. I am pretty sure that it is aimed correctly. I can receive 119/129 on a 500 pro connected to a DP34 external switch, but it appears that 129 is blocked on the 500 pro plus with the internal switch. I am using a 222k receiver when I am at the cabin and only want or need 129. Do I need to buy a 1000.2 dish?

My guess would be no....A dish 500 picks up 110 and 119, being 9 degrees of separation....Your shooting for 10 degrees....It could pick up either directly pointed but not both at the same time. If you could the signal would be very low...

According to where your profile says you're located, the 129 is at 25°. So set the skew on the 500 dish to 90, elevation to 25, and then you will hit the 129 sat. (After finding the correct azimuth of course, should be 242-ish)

I will give that a try the next time I am out there. The trick is to get check switch to see 129 on one of the ports.

It could definitely pick up 119 129 at the same time. It can even pick up 61.5/72.7 with some patience.

if you had it on the old twin, and did not move the dish, and your current reading says 119 / conn. it is either because you are not using a separator, or the twin is bad. unless of course it is a single tuner, then you wouldn't need the separator.
