Is METV Coming Back?

I do not see channel 247 on my H3+ and H3. I have AT200 and Internet connected. I do have MeTV by satellite and OTA locals. Could that be the reason I don't get channel 247?

I am wondering if I am seeing it because I am a beta tester? I only looked as the other person posted they have it now, and I had it too. I don't know if the other user is a member of the Beta Program as well.

If its not generally available yet then I do apologize. But it does appear to be coming soon, which makes me happy as now I can record Svengoolie with guide data. My local TV has no guide data on my Hopper.

Most likely, as that was how it was when it was previously added, in those markets where MeTV is a satellite delivered local channel - it's also like that when DirecTV added MeTV nationally...

No CH 247 in the Houston Metro. Is this location specific? I have AT120+
You already get it via KYAZ-51 in your locals pkg, which is why you're most likely not getting the national version...

I get it over the air as well. But Dish does not supply it to me as part of my locals package. I did get MeTV before on 247 when it was on Satellite.

I am going to try reaching out to MeTV and get this clarified.

Which, as I already explained, IS why you got it before & are getting it now...not that hard to understand...
AND...the reason why you don't get it on your satellite delivered locals, is because yours is a low-powered affiliate & does NOT qualify for must-carry like the Houston MeTV affiliate.

But I also get it off the air so I shouldn't be getting it from dish (According to Brittany) I should not get it as I get it locally. (Not that I am complaining because DISH's METV has guide data, while my OTA does not and that makes it hard to record.) :D

I get MeTV on Ch.247, but I also get it OTA on KSTP-DT3 here in the Twin Cities. I do not have any local station package so all of my locals are OTA.

What has not been mentioned yet is that MeTV on Ch. 247 is now in HD. Of course, some program material is in SD, but the feed is HD. Even my local MeTV OTA feed is only in SD.

I also noticed that the local OTA feed and the Dish Network Streaming feed do not always carry the same programing. For example, this morning, Matlock had different episodes on OTA versus Ch. 247 Streaming. It is easy to tell when this is happening: When the streaming feed is different than the OTA feed, there is no MeTV logo in the lower right hand screen on the streaming feed. It is simply blank with no logo. When the logo reappears on the next program, the OTA and streaming feeds are the same.
