have had this problem for some time now, just been lazy about checking on it with Dish.

every evening around midnight my sound starts skipping. I am on the sirius channel. the only way i have found to cure it is to go to tools and reset my hopper. If i just reset the joey it does not help. I am on the joey when the happens and the Hopper is off. the pic is good but the sound keeps skipping.
anyone had the prob?

Hello bobtet. We haven't heard of any issues with the Sirius music channels so it is possible that the issue could be the Hopper or the Joey.

Have you been able to see if the sound skipping occurs on the Hopper, when viewing the same channel? Does it happen when accessing a regular channel, like 110, on both the Joey and the Hopper during that time?

i will check again tonite, on the hopper, but it happened again last nite on my joey at ten PM. last time i checked it was on ALL chls. at the time the hopper was off because mt wife had gone to bed.

Next time it happens, switch to an OTA channel for long enough for the picture to clear up, then switch back to the channel you were on. It may take several seconds for it to clear up, but it should. I believe that you are experiencing the same problem that I am, and I think it is really a software bug. I doubt that changing out the H3 would make any difference. Removing the OTA adapter would resolve it, but then you'd be back to paying for locals.
