Top of the Eight Cubs winning by 3 runs. Prior on the mount the Chicago fans going about going to the WS for the first time since 1945. Bernie Mac proclaimed the Cubs champs of the NL in the seventh. Yet, the Marlins catch a break and MARLINS WINS MARLINS WINS MARLINS WINS...

What happened? Everyone is shocked. Security guards have to escort the fan (that took the 2nd probable out of the ining) out of wrigley field. What a game! I LOVE IT :typing:

If the Cubs lose tomorrow, I'm completely convinced that Dusty is cursed.

Last year, he's just a mere inning away from winning the World Series, but he loses game 6, then goes on to lose game 7 with the Giants.

This year, he's just a mere inning away from winning the NLCS and getting back to the World Series, but he loses game 6, and could go on to lose game 7. I'm not at all heartbroken right now, nor will I be if the Marlins win, but Dusty has some bad mojo going on.

Hey, they won their first playoff series since 1945 this year. They SHOULD have gone to the series, but look for Wood and Prior to get better and be back.

Oh and after the Red Sox lose tonight, I will officially give up on baseball. I was pulling for Cubs-Red Sox but now I don't care anymore. This Mets fan will have to look for miracles elsewhere....

You're prescient, Bob. Are you really going to give up on baseball now?
I guess the Mets' prospects look pretty bleak for next year.
Hey, why don't you come over to the dark side and become a Yankee fan?
