Is the "hide forums" feature broken?

My "new posts" view is continually being cluttered by the "Ebay daily deals" items which I know for a fact I have told it to hide. Can you look and see if I've done it wrong, or is something else going on?

Copy and past the url when you point to New Posts (Entire site) it will look like http://www.satelliteguys.us/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post&exclude= and have a bunch of numbers after it.

It is still buggy. For example I have most of the cable TV forums hidden, but "Cable and Fiber Optic" forum shows that there are unread posts. But, when I click in the 2 sub forums I have visible do not have any posts in them. The unread posts are in hidden forums.
