I was watching Marta the Talking dog a PBS cartoon for kids, and the dog said about if she would appear in color on TV
and she said "How the hell should I know Im color blind"

I have been censored for using the word hell in the forum. So is a word used on a Kids show not allowed in the forum? Either way I will respect the forums rules and morals.

English is not my first language so I would like to know

Thanks

you've been censored here for using the word hell? personally i don't think it's an issue but if i'm wrong another mod may chime in on this.

It usually isnt. I know I've used "helluva" before but I guess being staff nobody wants to report that post ;)

Usually swear words are judgement calls. The obvious ones are edited. But there are a couple that usually slide

there you go. nuff said. :)

I call BS.

There is no way in hell that would be allowed in a PBS kids show, which is called Martha Speaks, by the way. Chick-Fil-A ( a VERY Christian company) gave away Martha books with kids meals, and they would have nothing to do with language like that.

I think you misheard it.

And you probably got censored for something else in your post.

I had to ban the origional poster for posting the word hell to many times...

I am sure now that hes trying to log in hes going "what the hell?" :D

Nah just kidding... thats not one of those words that get us penalized with the search engines, I have no problem with it.

I got warned Office Space-style by 3 different bosses for using hell in a IT ticket to report a broken computer. Said something like 'hell there aren't even any lights on the keyboard'.

That was many years ago, Zappos is not so uptight. After all, I have Dr. Seuss's "Who 1" taped to the side of my desk, but instead of the label "Who 1" under him it is "(something else) 1", with my title being Application Support Specialist, the acronym is not lost on anyone.

This is funny, how about "swear words" when they are being used in original context of their meaning, like that word for female dogs(when you are talking about female dogs),that other word for donkeys(when you are talking about donkeys),a son born out of wedlock,etc..... However,if those words are being used "out of context" to be insulting, that's a different story.
