Ok, so I have had a DISH 500 with a DPP Twin LNB pointed at 110/119 for years now and recently upgraded to the VIP722k so I added 72.7 for HD (can't see 129 where I am on the east coast) on a second dish and ran the line from the LNB on the single dish to the open port on the DPP LNB getting 110/119. The VIP saw all 3 sats and showed reception verified, but every time I tried to tune to a channel that was 72.7, I got the complete signal loss screen.

I am wondering if this is because the LNB on the single dish was just a regular DISH Legacy LNB and not a DP LNB. Does the additional LNB have to be a DP LNB to work with the port on the DPP LNB? Keep in mind I have a DP Separator installed going into the dual tuner receiver. I have a feeling this is my problem and that I will need to replace the single LNB with a single DP LNB but just wanted some input and confirmation!

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys in advance.

The additional LNBF will need to be DP compatible, you were right on the money
