NBC renews 'SVU,' picks up 'L&O: Los Angeles'

MICHAEL SCHNEIDER

NBC has scrapped 11th hour plans to save "Law and Order," which has been cancelled after 20 seasons.Peacock simultaneously confirmed that it remains deep in the Dick Wolf business, picking up "Law and Order: Los Angeles," commonly known as "LOLA." "Law and Order: SVU" also secured a pickup.
News came a day after word leaked that "Law and Order" would be canceled. But Wolf and NBC were still in talks late Thursday, and it appeared possible the show might be saved.

Yeah, not sure what they're doing. Canceled Heroes and going to bring in a new super hero-ish show (The Cape).

Canceled L&O and are bringing in L&O:LA. Why not keep the old title and relaunch it with the LA cast, basically what they did with SVU isnt it... pretty much dumped the entire cast and brought in new people?

Case not closed on 'Law & Order'

NBC in talks with Turner execs to revive series on TNT
MICHAEL SCHNEIDER
The case isn't closed on "Law and Order" just yet. NBC Universal plans to set up meetings with Turner execs in the coming weeks to discuss the possibility of the "Law and Order" mothership living on at TNT.

"revive?" wouldn't use that word to describe L&O on TNT. More like:

"Turner announces plans to rebrand TNT as "The L&O Channel" :)
