Joey 3.0 power question

If I have a joey in spare bedroom and no one is using the room for month do I have to leave the joey plugged in ? Not sure if unplugged for long time it will lose its activation like a receiver does.

The activation info for the Joey is stored in the hopper so I don't believe you will have any problem.

I did not know the DVR would lose its activation if unpluged for a long time!

Yup if the Hopper is unplugged for a few days it could lose its activation. I have lost it in as little as 4 days unplugged in the past. Always keep the DVR plugged in so it can constantly do its work (updating, indexing, software and app updates etc)

also wonders if it will loose it's activation when it don't have a programming package tied to it for a few months but is left plugged in
