Glad to see an attempt at a new Wireless Joey as I've heard and read here that the 2nd generation Wireless Joey has inferior performance to the original Wireless Joey. The Hopper+ looks like a mini-Hopper 3, so I would think that it may provide all PIP features, and I would love it if this H3+ can leverage the growing number of live streaming only channels that Dish keeps adding so that we can RECORD the stream and view more than ONE streaming channel at any one time per system. I still think the H3+ must also act as something like a wired module that brings with it upgraded tech that the main H3 can leverage for robust performance and added features.

Yeah, I think H3+ is about the full Hopper experience beyond the 1st TV with features like full PIP and truly robust App performance and the latest 4K tech for playback like maybe both Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ or whatever the latest iteration may be . I really don't know, but I hope Dish makes these devices available because we sure could use an upgrade of the tech at this point, and a modular approach is quite wise and economical, and can work well, and is less disruptive to the customer, but I'm sure the H3+ may have a premium monthly equipment fee, which would be sad.

I'm wondering about that myself. I wonder if it's an additional HDMI Output or to be used as a stand-alone device, in some way

Yes, thank you HipKat, I knew that--thanks again--but my writing may not have been clear. My point is that the while the Hopper+ is an add-on, it has that same red stripe and S/PDIF that the Hopper does have and the Joey 4 does NOT, and this may indicate that the H+ may have the ADDED benefit of providing all the H3 features--such as PIP--and be an experience just like an H3 at a secondary, tertiary, etc. TV. in addition to the add-on benefits to the networked Hopper and Joeys, and Dish is giving the H+ a similar look as the main Hopper to communicate this possible ability. The rest is in the post to which you responded. Sorry, I created confusion with my poor writing, but thanks for allowing me to clarify. .
