I did not notice this until I tuned in a Sirius channel, but after about 10 minuted, the screen dims. Is this by design? I mean any key disables it, but if Caller ID comes in, it is dimmed, too.
I've looked under updates and that is not it.

there is no setting on your tv that dims the display after a period of time or when most of the display is black or an energy save feature?

Must be a Hoppa thing, does not with my 612.... Not to mention (although I guess I am ...lol) there can't be much chance of that, the screen art floats at least on the VIP. I'm certainly not saying it does not happen if you know it does, but find it suspicious that the Hoppa dims the TV or it's own output....

Sirius channels dim automatically to save energy and to reduce the possibility of burn-in.

I noticed later that it is on the hopper, too. I think there should be an option to not do it. Some sets do not burn in. Also, it does not come back up if Caller ID shows. THey should program:
1) an option that turns off the dimming
2) If not 1, then Come out with caller ID so you can see the freeking number.
3) If none of the above, go back to the orbitting display of previous units.
