Joey vs Hopper 3 ext hard drive

Can you view content on an external hard drive, connected to a Hopper 3, from a Joey? I've looked for over an hour and can't find anything that says one way or another.

You have always been able to watch ehd content hooked to a hopper from any Joey connected to that hopper. What does not work however is being able to view your ehd content when outside your house using dish anywhere.

If you know you are going to want to watch some programming on the EHD while away from your home, simply transfer that programming back to the Hopper before you leave. When you return home return it back to the EHD...
