I just received my DVR and tried the 30 second skip as given in the Comcast forum. It didn't work. I don't have the same remote. I have a silver one without a "lock" button. Also my guide is silver with PIP. Please help! Is this the latest version? How can I tell? Is there more than one guide view? Will the 30 sec. skip work with this version?
It did record everything I set it to record while I was out last night. Eventhough my lower channels look like crap through the DVR but great directly to my 61" DLP HDTV. Should I preamp the signal into the DVR?
