Legacy Quad LNBF Problem

I had a set-up with 2 Legacy dual LNBF's hooked to a SW44 switch feeding 4 receivers. I began getting intermittant (but frequent) signal interruptions on various channels on all receivers and figured my SW44 was going south.

Rather than replace the SW44 I replaced the dual LNBF's with a Legacy quad and removed the switch. I ran check switch on the receivers and it came back with nothing (x's). After checking this forum I disconnected all the receivers and ran check switch on a disconnected receiver to clear it. I then reconnected the receiver and ran check switch again... nothing (x's).

My guess is that I have a bad LNBF... are there further diagnostics I should try before I replace the LNBF?

Chances of having 4 defective rg-6 cables is not impossible to assume, just rare. If there is possible coax problems, suggest that you check for 13-18 volts DC at the ends of each coax at the dish. If voltage is present, you need to find a different quad, as you suspect.
