LG LCD LED TV's

Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on the new LG LCD LED TV's.

55LH90 Televisions TV/Audio/Video

I'd buy a LED LCD tv in a minute, versus my older LCD with a fluorescent backlight. Problem is, the prices for the LED backlighting tv's are crazy high! Wait a year or so, and I'll bet the prices with go in half.

Even the newer laptops are going to LED backlit lcd screens. They use much less power, batteries last much longer, and it looks much better.

Prices are not as high as you think right now. You can get a 46" for only a couple hundred more than a comparable fluorescent unit.

$3,000 is a bit expensive for 55" , $1,800 for 42", $2,100 for 47"

Right now I am looking at them and they are no where near the pricing that you are talking about. They are on sale this week at Best Buy and that is the only reason I was looking into them.

These ones are all Samsung pricing below.
55" = $2200
47" = $1500

The LG got very high marks by many reviews. If off center viewing is not a problem for you, get it. High marks in black levels.

Well the thought of the LED LCD is out the window for me. I found to good of a deal on a Panasonic plasma that I could just not pass up.

I picked up a TC-P50G10 plus a BD60 for $1300.

Words can not describe it. :D I sure thought that my DLP had a good picture and the plasma sure blows it away. I am now a true believer in the plasma. I even have calibrated it with the HD Video Essentials BD.

It's a shame that more tv manufacturers are getting out of the plasma tv market. It seemed to have the greatest value for what it offers. I was seeing 50 inch plasma's for $900 a year ago.

Been telling people this for years. Seeing, in home, is believing. And panny now does plasma best. Congrats:up
