I am planning to "move" to New Jersey with my dish receiver and I wanted to find out what local channels are available on conus? Where do I find the info?

For those that did not figure it out, the channels with a transponder number containing an are on a spot beam. The others are ConUS or at least not restricted to a Spot Beam (e.g. 148° is below the horizon in the US east coast)

Okay, so how can I tell if I could get them from my location? Let's say the New York HD locals that look like they are on 61.5 TP15s16? Do I go to the point dish screen?

Depends on which satellites you're getting now. Example, if you're setup gets 110, 119, 129. then you "moved to Denver, you would be able to get Denver HD locals because they are on 129 and broadcast CONUS over the entire country.

NY Locals are on sat 61.5 TP15s. The S stands for spotbeam, meaning you have to be in the greater NY area to receive the signal.

Remember, if you move and are getting your sport FSN channel, that will change to the city you're moving to.

Keep in mind that eh spot beam numbers have changed, but the physical spots haven't. So on this map spot beam 3 has been renumbered spot beam 16. The renumbering happened when Dish bought the satellite from Rainbow.

See ya
