Is there some sort of list that exists that shows all of the dish installers for a particular area?

Goto www.dishnetwork.com. Click the locate a retailer link/icon. It searches by zip code.

A lot of the time those would be your worst installers. Check with neighbors and friends. Get good referals. Dish's vru gives you the busy hacks most of the time. Quanity not quality

The listings on dishnetwork.com are a joke. They don't list 99% of the installation companies in your area.

Go to your state government and find out if there are any licenses required for catv/smatv/cctv/dbs work and if so, only hire someone so licensed.
