Local Channel Guide Question

I ordered the 622 last week with an install date of March 7th. I am going with the Platinum Package and Locals, although I can pick up local OTA Digital stations.

Question: Do I need to subscribe to locals to have them appear on my Dish Guide? Or since I'm going with the Platinum Package can I just use the OTA input on the 622 to pickup my locals?

Word is 622 needs subscription for local information to appear in the guide. I have seen a couple of post where 622 leasers don't have it.
