Local Channels in Sioux Falls, SD???

  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

You guys seem in the know here.

I know that the local channels are coming sometime in '04, but was wondering if anyone had heard any rumors about a specific date.

THANKS!

Let's make this simple.

Your market, Sioux Falls, and 19 other markets, are slated to become available when the DirecTV 5 satellite is approved for service from the 72.5 degree West satellite position.

The FCC has not given approval for the move of the satellite from its current 119 degree West position, nor has given approval to start service at the 72.5 degree West position (this is a Canadian-controlled slot). Once these two issues are green-lighted by the FCC, and the satellite is actually moved, then it won't be long before these twenty markets, including Sioux Falls.
