local spot beam channels from close city

i was wondering if this is possible since i live 4 hours away to the west to get san francisco local channels zip code is 94108... and mine is visalia/tulare locals 93274 zip code i really dont understand the map sattilte boundries from me if their anyone out their that can tell me if it possible to get san francisco locals in my area when i provide with a local adress any help would be appreaited thanks i do have dish 500 im looking for sd channels

I assume that you get sat 119.
If so, hit menu - 6 - 1 - 1 point dish screen, check satellite 119, transponder 7. If it shows spotbeam 4 and you have a decent signal, you're golden.

well i did that and no signal doea that mean i dont get it? i do get aon the transponder spot a spot beam 5 ,3, 1

San Francisco locals are on TP 7. If you don't get any signal on that TP, you'll not get those locals.

If SD channels are all that you want, you might try the 110 satellite on transponders 26 and 31. It appears that you are out of luck for HD.

i do get a message spotbeam on 26 transponder signal is 26 percent and on transponder 31 no signal strength

For some unknown reason 119tp7 in the Bay Area is reading 0 on some if not all receivers.
