Location/direction of satellite for my house.....

Folks, a while back, I thought there was a discussion here telling us how to look at a Google map and see what direction the appropriate satellites for our DISH services are in. I remember doing this, but I cannot remember where I went (website) or any other details about it. My husband wants to know what trees he needs to cut down to improve our service. Yes, we can guess based on the direction of our dish, but he is a former aviation guy and wants to know precise information. Does anyone remember what I am talking about?

Well, there are only two possibilities for Dish, eastern arc 61.5 and 72 and western arc 110, 119, and 129. If your locals happen to be on both arcs you can pick, otherwise you go to one or the other.

You want to point wherever your local HD channels are.... not know where you are located, we can't help you much there...
