A committee of Loral's unsecured creditors filed a document with the court handling the company's bankruptcy matter that suggested consideration should be given to additional companies eyeing Loral's assets.
According to sources, the bankruptcy court filing from the committee stated that any effort to sell Loral's North American satellite fleet to Intelsat should take into consideration other interests. The group said EchoStar, which has been eyeing Loral's assets, may not have made its final offer, and other bidders may surface, providing "vastly" higher value to Loral.
Loral and EchoStar wouldn't offer comment on the development
