I just caught a new (to me) Dish ad running on the local FOX affiliate. It was "Lose the Cable Snake"; "He speaks with a forked tongue". They had a CG snake slitherin' around harassing a family.
The ad included promotion for a free HD or DVR for new subscribers.
I hope Dish has anticipated the demand for HD equipment, and the subsequent demand for HD programming.
