I keep getting a loss of signal message on my 722K. The problem is I do not think it is actually a loss of signal. When the message pops up I press the Guide button or the Menu button and it message goes away and the picture is back. If the signal was actually out then why would pressing the menu or guide button get the signal and picture back? Any help would be appreciated.

Contact DIRT and probably get the protection plan for 4mo.

If you have the MT2 OTA module it sounds like you may be tuned to a weak OTA station in the background. Change to a local OTA station you know has a strong signal, and then change back to a SAT channel. Do it on both tuners.

That's one problem that Hopper doesn't have (not that that helps.)

On the ViP receivers, if you are tuned into a weak OTA channel, then switch to satellite, every time the OTA channel loses signal, the sat will also "lose" signal. The solution is to tune into a stronger OTA station and/or delete the weaker OTA stations, then watch a satellite channel.

Thanks everyone. I do have the over the air tuner. I will make sure it is on a strong channel. I am also going to put my signal booster back in for my over the air tuner.
