LSU does the NCAA one over...screws their season up with stupidity!

Several people who claim to have witnessed the incident tell 9NEWS that around 2 a.m. Friday, a young man driving a truck blew his horn to get a group of people blocking the driveway to move out of the way at Shady's Bar on East Boyd Ave. That's when they say a group of people pulled the driver out of the truck and began beating him. That's when they say a Marine who had just returned from training ran to assist the driver and was beaten and thrown to the ground. Multiple people who claim to have witnessed the incident tell 9NEWS LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson then kicked the Marine in the head.
If this is true, then Jefferson should do some time in prison. LSU has had a remarkable run of low character QBs.

Ditto that!!!

In regards to the thread title, these players did far more than just "screw up LSU's season". If true, they screwed up their future careers!
I agree. Especially Jefferson, who is a mediocre QB at best. He's been complaining about how unappreciated he is for the last three years, yet when they turn over the keys to the Cadillac to him, he takes it to a chop shop. What a dumbass. Also adds a little light to some of the onfield debacles the last few years (Ole Miss game a few years back, Tennessee game last year). Miles took all the blame, but it was always obvious to those of us who follow the team day in and day out that the biggest problem was on the field. Sometimes you can't get the stupid to do what you want them to do no matter how hard you try. What happened the other night proves it.

More stuff coming out:

More details leaked out Sunday in regard to the fight involving at least four LSU football players outside of Shady’s Bar early Friday morning that sent four men to Baton Rouge hospitals.

BRPD spokesman Sgt. Don Stone said the fight apparently started in part when a driver honked his horn at a crowd blocking his way out of the bar's parking lot.

Stone also confirmed a report that as part of the ongoing investigation, at least one witness told the police that one of the four Tigers kicked one of the victims in the head.

In a report by WAFB-TV Friday, several witnesses were cited saying that senior starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson kicked someone in the head, a claim his father, John Jefferson, vehemently denied on Saturday.

John Jefferson declined to talk about the incident any further Sunday.

“We have heard that, yes,” Stone said about the alleged kick. “However, I cannot confirm that it happen(ed) or who is the responsible party if it did happen.”

In particular, Stone said he couldn't say the assailant was Jefferson as Friday’s reports indicated.

This happened at a crowded bar. In this day and age, everyone has cellphones. I'm just waiting for TMZ to release the video of this. You know it's out there, waiting to be released........

That's what a lot of people are saying. It was late at night in the bar parking lot, but you would think someone would've seen it going down who had a cellphone. It was just out of range of the parking lot cameras.

Interviews postponed | Home | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, LA
Baton Rouge attorney Nathan Fisher, who is representing the four players, said Sunday he requested more time to review the details of the case before his clients meet with investigators. He said the police interviews should happen by the end of the week.
Since when do suspects get to decide when they will speak with the cops?!? Can you say "star treatment?"

Yep...LOL! The negotiation for the best price is probably going on as we speak.

I hope that they spend a little extra money and buy from two or three people. That way they can piece it together and provide the best angles for each of the assailants.

They're only hurting themselves and showing their guilt. And it's not a good idea to make the BRPD unhappy...you don't want to get those good ole boys angry.

Nathan Fisher is the attorney who represented Ryan Perriloux, who, if you remember, Miles sent packing even though he was slated to be the next phenom at QB (according to media hype). Even if second degree assault charges aren't filed, they're finished at LSU.

Here's the first article with pictures of the accused...

Update...

BRPD to meet with four LSU football players | Home | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, LA

Investigators concluded through their investigation that both simple battery and second-degree battery charges will be filed when the investigation is completed

"We would not be conducting this investigation if somebody didn't want us to," Stone said. "When we conclude our investigation, we will secure arrest warrants for those people that we determine are responsible, arrest them and then bring them in and place them in the parish prison .

"If the players never come in and talk to us, we will continue our investigation without talking to them. If the evidence support the allegations, warrants will be issued for their arrests and we'll arrest them whether they come to speak to us or not."
These four players seem to be operating under the notion that if they ignore the problem, it will go away. Kind of like people who throw away bills that they can't afford to pay.

They're meeting with BRPD right now. Facts are starting to come out as well about the "victims." Apparently they haven't been telling the total truth and weren't so innocent as everyone initially thought they were (surprise, surprise). There is talk that charges may be filed by both parties, then reduced to simple battery for cooperation...and eventually dropped. The law works in mysterious ways it seems.

Suspensions for the Oregon game will most likely come down as well. Hope Jarrett Lee has figured out that pick6 problem he had a few years ago.

Wow! I didn't realize that he was still around. His ability to give up the interception returned for a touchdown was just uncanny. That was one of the most bizarre things that I can remember from any recent college season.

Jordan Jefferson's Apartment Searched; Attack Victims w/ Broken Vertabrae!

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Authorities searched LSU starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson's apartment on Wednesday and collected a swab of his DNA in connection with a bar fight last week that injured four people.

The most seriously injured victim has three broken vertebrae, police chief Dewayne White has said.

There have been no arrests and no charges have been filed, but White stressed that police hope to gather enough evidence to arrest whoever is responsible for the victims' injuries.

If arrests are made, charges could range from misdemeanor simple battery to felony second-degree battery, Stone said.

Getting interesting. There's also a YouTube video that finally came out. Can't see much, but definitely someone is getting a kick in the head. Also, the gossip around campus is that suspensions have gone down, just holding off announcing to keep the Ducks guessing.

gotta love the irony of schedules this season

Oregon vs LSwho
TattoOSU vs Miami
and of course Auburn vs Alabama
too bad U$C and Tennessee aren't playing then 8 of the top probation 10 would face each other in 2011, actually it would be all ten UNC/Ga Tech play each other as well
