Marvel's Ant-Man - Trailer 1

'Ant-Man' Poster Wants To Remind You Of 'Iron Man' Poster http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme...n-man/?utm_campaign=yahootix&partner=yahootix
Once again, I am going to spend time writing about a poster, and once again it is merely an attempt to offer some “hot take” analysis while I tinker with something more substantive. Anyway, Walt Disney and Marvel dropped an Ant-Man theatrical poster this morning. It’s perfectly fine, with its title hero heroically standing (ironically) tall while his supporting cast (and said hero outside of the suit) surrounds him in a vague bubble fashion. It’s not quite floating heads, and they deserve brownie points for including basically the whole cast in the theatrical one-sheet. It’s not terribly claustrophobic, there are no weird character poses squeezed into the corner of the frame, and no one is farting an explosion. It’s also basically textbook Marvel to an almost comical degree. That’s not an insult mind-you, because sometimes you have to go with what works. Even though it reads “from the studio that brought you Guardians of the Galaxy,” the Ant-Man poster is clearly attempting to remind audiences of the first Iron Man. The poster resembles the general layout of the main theatrical one-sheet for the first Iron Man as well as (to a lesser extent) the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The First Avenger. Not so much, Thor, but you get the idea.

Ant-Man Clip Finally Connects The Hero To The Marvel Cinematic Universe http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Ant-...cts-Hero-Marvel-Cinematic-Universe-71863.html
Despite being a member of the most popular cinematic posse in modern filmmaking, the MCU, all of the noise surrounding Ant-Man’s impending release has been rather muted. But with just over a month until it hits, Marvel has decided to increase the promotional campaign for Ant-Man by reminding us of his famous brethren. There’s nothing like relying on your famous pals to elevate your own status, is there? Marvel Studios wasted no time in reminding us of their prior accomplishments, and this TV Spot for the Paul Rudd-led adventure gives us a glimpse of Captain America’s shield, Iron Man posing, Thor’s hammer, Hulk screaming and Groot and Rocket going berserk, all against the tease, “The Marvel Universe Is About To Get A Lot Bigger.” You see what they did there? It’s because Ant-Man’s really small, but still deadly. Funny stuff. The fact that the above line is read by Michael Douglas, who is starring in Ant-Man as Hank Pym, makes it umpteen times cooler. Each additional dose of Ant-Man footage that is released increases my confidence in the project. While we were all obviously disappointed in Edgar Wright’s departure from the project last year, Peyton Reed still appears to have created a stylized and unique superhero adventure, plus Paul Rudd’s irreverent comic tone looks like it will mix perfectly with this peculiar blockbuster.

New 'Ant-Man' posters have some surprising cameos! https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/ant-man-posters-surprising-cameos-165400407.html
We are dangerously close to the premiere of “Ant-Man.” Soon all — or none — of our questions will be answered. Is Scott Lang going to take his new role seriously? Is Hope Van Dyne going to be the new Wasp? What happened to the original Wasp? And what is the heist Lang must pull off that could save the world?

Meet Marvel’s Next Big Villain: Corey Stoll on Graduating From ‘House of Cards’ to ‘Ant-Man’ http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl.../articles+(The+Daily+Beast+-+Latest+Articles)
After carving a niche as a character actor, the one-two punch of the boxing indie Glass Chin and next month’s Marvel blockbuster Ant-Man should change how we view Corey Stoll.Corey Stoll is, typically, doomed.Maybe not always doomed, but certainly tortured. To begin with, there’s ill-fated Peter Russo in Season One of House of Cards, a character that fueled the bingeworthy success of the Netflix hit drama and turned Stoll into one Hollywood’s most in-demand actors. The bombastic, though destructive, boozehound machismo of his breakout Ernest Hemingway in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris certainly contrasts his character’s constant threat of death-by-vampire on FX’s The Strain. The writing’s on the wall for his character’s fate in round one of his new boxing thriller Glass Chin, and as for his plum role in Marvel’s next big summer superhero blockbuster Ant-Man, you can surmise his character’s arc by knowing that he’s playing the film’s villain.

Ant-Man’s Cast Has Some Great Advice For The New Spider-Man
Tom Holland’s recent unveiling as Spider-Man means that the 19-year-old English actor suddenly finds himself under a lot of pressure to please millions of people. But he’s not alone in this ordeal, because Holland has got the Marvel family to support him. And during a recent interview with IGN, via Comic Book Movie, the cast of ‘Ant-Man’ offered Holland a wave of advice for how to excel as the webbed wonder. And when you have an acting behemoth like Michael Douglas parting wisdom your way it’s probably worth listening to what he has to say. The ‘Wall Street’ star, who portrays Hank Pym in ‘Ant-Man’, told Holland to simply enjoy the ride because “he’s in good hands.”

Here’s How Ant-Man First Encounters The Avengers http://news.yahoo.com/heres-how-ant-man-first-encounters-the-avengers-182620768.html
During an interview with ComicBook.com, director Peyton Reed confirmed that there’s a rather cool cameo in ‘Ant-Man’… pitting Scott Lang against one of the Avengers.“That was actually something that Adam McKay, who came in and wrote several drafts of the script with Paul Rudd, that was McKay’s idea,” he said. “We talked about the fact that Ant-Man’s a heist movie and one of the tropes in a heist movie is before the big heist, you know, it’s like, ‘Okay, we’ve got the plan in place but there’

The Avengers Finally Make It Into An Ant-Man Trailer http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Avengers-Finally-Make-It-An-Ant-Man-Trailer-72396.html
ANT-MAN Final International TRAILER (HD) Paul Rudd Marvel Movie 2015 .....http://www.joblo.com - "ANT-MAN" Final International TRAILER (HD) Paul Rudd Marvel Movie 2015..... Scott Lang will be working alongside many of the Avengers next year in Captain America: Civil War, but for his theatrical debut, he’s already eager to enlist them. With Ant-Man two weeks away from release, Marvel is making one last marketing push to plug the tiny superhero’s movie, and in the latest trailer, they name-drop the superhero team as potential allies. Take a look.In the newest preview for the July blockbuster, Hank Pym explains to Scott (Paul Rudd) how they need to stop Darren Cross, Hank’s former assistant, from getting the Ant-Man technology out into the world. Scott wisely offers a suggestion on how do handle this precarious situation: "I think our first move should be calling the Avengers." Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like corporate espionage falls under their Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ job description, leaving Scott to use the Ant-Man suit to stop Cross, a.k.a. Yellowjacket, with the help of Hank, Hope Van Dyne, and his prison buddies.

Ant-Man trailer confirms 's cameo https://games.yahoo.com/news/ant-man-trailer-confirms-spoiler-143003427.html
This post contains spoilers for Ant-Man.The latest Spanish-language trailer for Ant-Man doesn't have much in the way of new footage, but an ultra-quick shot during the promo gives us a good look at which Avenger will show up during the film. How does the character fit into the film? A recent interview may give a few hints."Essentially, this is a heist film, and if you look at the structure of heist films, there is always a test run and the test run fails," Paul Rudd said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "In talking about what could be a good test run, we were just playing around with conversations and thought, 'Oh my God, what if he actually fought an Avenger?' We started getting really giddy about this idea."The more robust trailer released a few days ago also involves a few joking references to the Avengers.

Review: Marvel's 'Ant-Man' is smaller but still not fun size https://www.yahoo.com/movies/s/review-marvels-ant-man-smaller-still-not-fun-132941893.html
If ever there was a sworn devotee — a chanting, face-painted worshipper — of the Big, it is Marvel. So the prospect that Ant-Man, the miniscule Mighty Mouse of Marvel's stable of powerhouses, might join the brawny big-screen ranks of the Hulk, Thor and the rest has long held some pleasing irony. But that enticement — Oh, if it was something different! — went out the helicarrier window when, just weeks before shooting was to commence, Edgar Wright, the British blender of genre and comedy who had worked on the project for eight years, departed over "creative differences" — a sacrifice, seemingly, to the Marvel colossus. The precise source of the dispute is unknown, but it's clear enough from the final product, pushed forward with the quick insertion of director Peyton Reed ("Bring it On," ''The Break-Up") and a rewrite by Adam McKay and others, that "Ant-Man" became bedeviled with staying true to its more modest size and idiosyncratic nature, and with the larger, blander demands of being a Marvel movie complete with superhero cameos and (optimistic) sequel set-ups.

Ant-Man’s post-credits scenes, explained http://www.vox.com/2015/7/16/8980387/ant-man-post-credits
There are mid- and post-credits scenes after Ant-Man!Similar Easter eggs have appeared at the end of every Marvel movie. Sometimes they contain huge reveals that connect to future movies (see: Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier's post-credits scene); other times they serve as little love letters from Marvel to its fans and its history (see: Howard the Duck at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy). They're fun. They can be exciting. And if we're lucky, they offer something to help tide us over until the next big Marvel blockbuster.Ant-Man features two extra scenes. One of them introduces the possibility of a new Marvel hero, while the other provides an answer to one of Ant-Man's big-picture questions. Here's what they are and what they mean.Spoilers follow for both the film and its mid- and post-credits scenes.

Box Office: 'Ant-Man' is Tops, But 'Trainwreck' Scores for Amazing Amy https://www.yahoo.com/movies/box-office-ant-man-trainwreck-124491195057.html?soc_src=mail&soc_trk=ma
The North American box office was a mixed bag this weekend. While Amy Schumer’s R-rated comedy Trainwreck overperformed, Disney and Marvel’s Ant-Man came in somewhat behind expectations with $58 million. While that’s certainly not a shabby number, it marks the lowest debut for Marvel Studios since it went solo and launched its cinematic universe, beginning with Iron Man.The opposite was true overseas, where Ant-Man earned $56.4 million from its first 37 markets, well ahead of the first Captain America and Thor. That puts Ant-Man’s global bow at $114.4 million.

Ant-Man: Why the 3 People in That Opening Scene Are Important http://www.popsugar.com/entertainment/Who-People-Ant-Man-Opening-Scene-37919010
Marvel movies are full of little Easter eggs here and there, and Ant-Man starts with a pretty big one: an opening sequence with a young Hank Pym (Michael Douglas, looking exactly like he did circa 1987's Wall Street) and three people. They're in a fight over the particles he's created, and he threatens to walk away from the company. Two out of those three people should look familiar to you, as they've appeared in previous movies. Here's a rundown of who all three are and why they're important in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

‘Ant-Man’ Shows Power and Limits of Marvel Brand https://www.yahoo.com/movies/s/ant-man-shows-power-limits-marvel-brand-192255656.html
“Ant-Man” demonstrates both the power of the Marvel brand and what can hold it back. The film’s $58 million debut would have been a strong start for nearly any other company, but for Marvel, which has fielded a dizzying number of blockbusters, it is something of a disappointment. “Ant-Man’s” opening ranks below the numbers that Captain America, Thor and Iron Man put up during their launches. More importantly, it failed to top the $60 million domestically that most analysts predicted it would make this weekend.

Let's not write-off 'Ant-Man': a look at its box office potential going into week 2 http://news.yahoo.com/lets-not-write-off-ant-man-look-box-152616282.html
Making its debut in a relatively quiet summer period, "Ant-Man" has been the Marvel franchise's smallest big screen release. We take a closer look at how it's done, going into a second weekend in theaters.Comparing worldwide box office totals for "Ant-Man" and its 11 Marvel siblings, the most recent release trails even 2008's $263m grosser "The Incredible Hulk" by more or less half.Narrow in on the first 6 days on US release -- that's the "Ant-Man" span so far -- then add in foreign opening weekends, and "Ant-Man" is not so far behind. Its $76m, six-day domestic run combines with a $56m first foreign weekend for $133m worldwide (per Box Office Mojo). That's enough to pass the $100m "The Incredible Hulk" ($70m domestic + $30m foreign weekend) and close to $135m "Captain America: The First Avenger" ($86m + $49m, not including Italy).

Ant-Man Director Teases Appearance Of Giant Man https://www.yahoo.com/news/ant-man-director-teases-appearance-of-giant-man-102824252.html
‘Ant-Man’ may be just the first step for the shrinking Scott Lang… as director Peyton Reed hints that we may see him use his technology to become Giant Man.It’s no secret that Marvel’s comic book version of Ant-Man has used a variety of different personas. After all, one of those – Yellowjacket – even made it into ‘Ant-Man’ as the film’s villain. But there’s one persona that fans would love to see on the big screen. And it looks as though Ant-Man might be getting bigger…During an interview with Screen Junkies, ‘Ant-Man’ director Peyton Reed was quizzed about the possibility of seeing Giant Man on the big screen… and it sounds rather promising.

‘Pixels’ Zapping ‘Ant-Man’ For No. 1; Young Women Traveling To ‘Paper Towns’ https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/pixels-currently-zapping-ant-man-015521203.html
Late-afternoon estimates show Sony’s Adam Sandler sci-fi comedy Pixels with a current Friday of $10.5M at 3,723 playdates, putting it on course for a FSS of $27M-$28M. The comedian has seen bigger opening days for his summer ensembles: Grown Ups made $14.4M in its first day, while Grown Ups 2 did $16.3M, but the hope here is that his adult fans will come out tonight. If these numbers stick, it’s better than what Sony was expecting and it’s definitely a rebound from Sandler’s stateside disaster last summer, Blended ($4.3M opening day, $14.3M opening, $46.3M cume). This currently puts Pixels in first place for the weekend.

Sebastian Stan Talks Ant-Man Post-Credits Scene http://news.yahoo.com/sebastian-stan-talks-ant-man-post-credits-scene-140414492.html
The post-credits scene in ‘Ant-Man’ proved that Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, is once again going to feature prominently in Marvel’s future efforts. But we’re still not sure in what capacity. In ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Barnes was Steve Rogers’ closest ally. But by ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ their relationship had deteriorated to such an extent that the old pals were trying to kill each other. The ‘Ant-Man’ post-credits scene showed the duo together again. But have they reacquainted as bosom buds? Or are they still mortal enemies? Warning: If you’ve not seen ‘Ant-Man’ yet, you probably shouldn’t read ahead. So, right at the end of ‘Ant-Man’, after the entire credits had rolled down the screen, we saw Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson with a captured Bucky Barnes in a contraption.

Chinese Poster For Marvel’s Ant-Man Is The Best Yet http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/chinese-poster-marvels-antman/
Ant-Man is set to be released in China on October 16th, and it will likely be its performance in that regiong which decides whether or not Marvel gives the movie a sequel. The Peyton Reed helmed film (which stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly) is expected to pass the $400 million mark at the box office this weekend, which is a great number but nowhere near the haul taken by Marvel’s last “risky” movie: Guardians of the Galaxy. So, while Ant-Man has been far from a flop, it hasn’t been the kind of runaway success that guarantees a follow-up at some point in Phase 3. If China adds another $100 million though, Marvel might just change their mind, so there’s a lot riding on the movie’s release there – and in Japan – next month.
