Oh my.... I can remember well my Sundays in the LA Coliseum watching Merlin and the rest of the Fearsome Foursome making the opposing quarterback run like hell or need to get up off of the ground. Then, of course, there was Little House on the Prairie. Some of my best memories were of Merlin doing the color for Dick Enberg as an NFL announcing team.

Watching him play is one of my earliest childhood memories due of his name (it's certainly different) and play on the field. Damn, I'm getting old. RIP...
