Just see this clip and you know what I'm talking about. How could you not know that?

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2ILQbByawE]YouTube - Mike on the ghost of Bill Walsh[/ame]

What a tough day for Singletary. That interview happens, his team gets beat by a lousy team and he had to discipline a player which I'm sure made his day.

I'm sorry, I posted the same topic twice and I don't know how to get rid of one. BTW, just click on "YouTube-Mike on the Ghost of Billl Walsh" and you'll see what I'm talking about. Sorry.

Mike Walsh?!

He's not only deceased, but he was a 49er's coach! Singletary was a player for the Bears! How could this interviewer be so off in her question?

Actually, the reporter in question here, (her name is Danyell(sp) something, she works for FOX), was on the Dan Patrick show today and explained that the interview in question never aired. It was taped but was up on the backhaul on the bird when they recorded it. When her producer told her in her ear what she had said, she stopped the interview, apologized for mispeaking and started again. Evidently, that moron Mad Dog saw it on the backhaul, assumed it was a legit interview and aired it on his NY sunday night TV show, as well as others putting it on YouTube and other places on the internet. At least, this is the story she is telling and I tend to believe it!!!...

BTW, this is the same reporter that dropped the F-bomb on ESPNews late at night a couple of years ago!!!...

Well the niners and their dork owner resemble that f bomb word.

It is truly bad that that big bad Bear Mike will lose and chance he had of becomming a headcoach with a real football team.

I believe she simply mis spoke, as you mentioned, it was on the wind feed and was not ever "Live", there are a ton of stuff you can find on wildfeeds, the majority of it never goes live, normally that is where stuff is when people want to go thru a take ahead of time and then when they have the info down, they will do a live take ....

I feel bad for her, this was something that normally would never be seen and some idiot is trying to ruin her over it.

It's reassuring to know that Detroit isn't the only franchise with an idiot owner.
True, but at least this franchise has made it to the big game, and won every time they got there, all five times.

No that's not a gloat, more of a sad reminiscing back to a better time..

I'm not sure which is better: Having the title then (really) losing it, or not ever knowing having it. I think back to a classic line from "Men In Black",

Will Smith: Well, you know what they say, "It's better to have loved and then lost then to never have loved at all."

Tommy Lee Jones: (smugly) Try it.

i heard today that mike pulled down his pants at halftime to prove a point about getting their butt's whooped. what the hell? :D

he better get a grip if he doesn't want to be known for doing stuff like this. you'll lose those guys in the locker room fast when you start pulling your pants down.

We continue to wait on the Lions .....
The thing about the Lions is, seeing they never are even close to being really good, it's hard on fans in the area because the REST of the teams in the area have won ..... so this one franchise not winning makes it all the harder.
The Wings win on a regular basis.
The Pistons are in the hunt year after year.
The Tigers have streaks of years where they can be very good.

All these teams are competative at least (Tigers some what, but the rest every year) If the team does not win it, but plays well and are in the hunt,it hurts when they don't win, but at least they are in the hunt, that means they are very good.
That can't be said for the ever losing Lions.

And we will continue to wait. Even if Ford screws up and actually hires somebody that knows what they're doing, it will take at least 3 seasons to clean up the mess MILLEN has brought to this once proud franchise. Maybe in my children's lifetime....
