We had a problem with a m.2 SSD in a Dell, it actually smelled like it was getting ready to let the "magic out of the chip" so we shut it down. We put the same SSD in another PC and it was fine.

Yep, inside every IC, there is a puff of smoke. If you let it out, it won't work anymore.

Running cool on Linux. Just ordered a 80 cm fan, think I can get it in the ssd space on the cover. It is a slim fan and I will find a place to tap 12 volts. A little glue and we should be fine.

Also, not mad at Rey by anymeans, been a 100 degrees here for a week and the house is 80, so I am not helping it at all.

I just did that today, swapped a storage drive, samsung for the Saberent and the mini runs windows 10 nice and cool, put the Saberent in my main machine and it runs cool. Strange things. Something in the CCcrap or Windows over works the controller. Anyway the mini is screaming now.

Well screaming as fast as a older Pentium can. ChannelsDVR it is this little thing can run 24/7 without running my power bill through the roof like my main machine.

Folks, I had a bad day went to a funeral of one of my customers, still tearing up now. What a great young man, graduated from North Greenville college and went into law enforcment. 25 Years old and is with the lord now.
