Any chance E* will get MLB Extra or NFL ticket anytime soon?

Nope NFL is Directv exclusive.

Dish had their chance at EI and passed.

They have to wait for the next renegotiation peroid after 2011.

if i'm wrong some one please correct me. i believe directv has an exclusive contract for the nfl ticket until 2011. don't know anything about mlb

Is having an exclusive contract anti competitive? Seems the government steps in every other time.

The government stepped in when Extra Innings was about to become a Direct TV exclusive I believe. I remember John Kerry making a big deal because he was a Red Sox fan and didn't have / want Direct TV.

Direct TV signed a 7 year deal, but Cable was able to keep the rights to have Extra innings.
