In the 15 years I've had satellite service from Dish I have never noticed having this issue, but I'm sure it happens. Tonight we have a particularly clear sky, but at about 9:30 PM watching Epix my receiver informed me I lost signal. I wondered why and went outside to a cloudless sky brightly light by a half moon. I could find nothing wrong with the physical set-up and the trees were still and everything there was normal. (my LOS is through a hole in the trees). I stood behind the satellite dish and looked at where the dish was looking at and I got an eyeful of moon though it did seem a little low in the sky! Signal came back on its own in 15 minutes so it seems to be the only reasonable explanation.
I know where there are charts for solar conjunction. Is there something similar for lunar conjunction?
