is it possible to take down my dish and reciever and take it to another location about 100 miles away and still use it. Once I get a good signal will it work or do I need to call and have a new signal sent down to it. I am installing it up where I snowmobile and there is no phone line to call dish.

it will work fine, except for maybe locals. dish might not like it but since it's one recevier they don't have a reason to ask. no need to call them unless it is unplugged for a LONG time.

You might want to get another dish, perhaps a portable setup, to take with you and leave your current dish where it is. Just move the receiver back and forth. Many RVers do just that...
