Moving to area with no local channels

If i move from eastern NM where i receive the Albuquerque channels to Lubbock tx where there are no local channels, can i still have the option to receive the Albuquerque channels or the Dallas channels.
What is a spotbeam? I saw it mentioned in my search.

Spot beams are used to deliver locals to areas of the country. The Albuquerque locals are on a different spot than Lubbock (Dallas?). So you will probably get Dallas, maybe.

I had FOX, ABC, CBS, and NBC from LA and NYC but for $3.99 a piece!!! Your way better off getting an antenna and getting the locals OTA.
